At A Cara Community Care, we saw first-hand how many people with complex needs were falling through the cracks — not because services didn’t exist, but because the right kind of care wasn’t always available.
Many providers offer disability support, but few have the clinical background needed to manage high-intensity care with both safety and confidence. We started A Cara to fill that gap — offering a higher standard of support where individuals feel genuinely understood, respected, and in control.

A Cara Community Care was founded by a GP/VMO with extensive experience across emergency departments, general practice, and surgical settings. After years of working in the healthcare system, they noticed a disconnect — many participants with high-intensity needs weren’t receiving support that truly matched the complexity of their health.
Determined to make a change, they launched A Cara Community Care to offer a better standard of disability support: one that brings together medical knowledge, day-to-day practicality, and a genuine commitment to each individual. Our story is shaped by real experience, and a strong belief that everyone deserves care they can trust.
